ELLE CLARKE FOUNDER OF I AM QUEEN MAGAZINE MAKES HISTORY BY HOSTING THE BAHAMAS’ FIRST-EVER BOOK FAIR: BAHAMA BOOKCON 22

Elle Clarke is the founder and Editor of I AM QUEEN Magazine. A former Police Officer, Clarke resigned from the Royal Bahamas Police Force in 2016 to pursue her dream of media. She had the opportunity to interview celebrities like Mary Mary, Brandy, Media Executives, Mayors and so much more. She has been featured by Rolling Out Magazine, Sheen Magazine, and Readers Digest, just to name a few.

Elle Clarke’s first book titled How I Escaped the Prison of Rape the Journey to Total Freedom sat on the Amazon Bestsellers list for two weeks. Elle had the opportunity to partner with the Miami Book Fair and that’s when she realized that Authors in the Bahamas have no author-centered events so she decided to create one of her own.

Bahama Bookcon is an Author’s Fair. It is the place where authors will introduce their books to new readers. As a child, Elle shared how impactful the ‘Let’s Read Bahamas’ campaign was to her life, and through this fair hopes to foster the love and excitement for reading in children today.
