The Jade Mountain resort is located 1.5 miles north of Soufriere, approximately 55 minutes from UVF Hewanorra International Airport in St. Lucia. Known for its organic architecture, it sits high on Morne Chastanet overlooking the Eastern Caribbean country’s Piton World Heritage site, and the Caribbean Sea.
Jade Mountain rises majestically above the 600-acre beachfront estate and Anse Chastanet Resort, designed by Russian-Canadian architect Nick Troubetzkoy.
If you have booked Jade Mountain, you can still enjoy the privileges of Anse Chastanet which is also superb. Anse Chastanet is where the party is at!
Troubeyzkoy worked with Ron Thom, Bud Wood and Arthur Erickson to build this creative structure. It was his “desire to create a unique living experience that would not only take full advantage of the unforgettable views of St. Lucia’s Piton mountains but to essentially allow the onlooker to float into space and become one with them.”
His wife Karolin, who is Executive Director of Marketing & Operations, is approachable, personable and distinguished. She has done her part to bring international attention to the resort which is a perfect paradise for lovers, to find or enjoy themselves.
There are several room, or Sanctuary, categories; the Star, Moon, Sun, Sky and Galaxy, each with a different personality. Best in this class are the Galaxy; being on the top floor certainly feels like you are one with the elements.
The cuisine is amazing. Three meals a day with five-star quality is to die for thanks to Chef Elijah and his team.
Butler Tony with his witty personality and willingness to help no matter the time of day, makes one want to take him home. How can one live a normal life after an experience at Jade Mountain?
If you choose to leave your Sanctuary, there are lots of things to do including scuba diving, snorkeling or the spa, just to name a few. A favorite pastime is sitting by the beach and watching the ocean’s serenity. Awesome!
Jade Mountain lives up it its lofty reputation. One can see why it has won several awards.
From making reservations to processing paperwork on arrival, the staff does an amazing job. Amenities, setting, and activities; everything is set in meticulous fashion.
Jade Mountain’s personal touch touched my heart. A special thank you to Mrs. Troubetzkoy and Butler Tony for making all this possible.
