The Sky Is NOT The Limit- It’s Launch Season

There are different levels of blessings “But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.” – Matthew 13:8. A blessing is a relative term because what may be a blessing to me maybe a curse to you and vice versa.

The Holy Spirit told me that we are on a launching pad –NOT an airstrip! Isreal got many blessings, but there was only one promise. The promise was that God would take them into a land flowing with milk and honey. A good place. However, on the way there, they overcame many obstacles and received many blessings while in transition.

A plane is a transitional vehicle. It takes you from one place to the next. The only difference between us and the Israelites is that we can fly to our next place, they had to walk. But, a plane moves horizontally and they have a limit to how high they can go.

The highest certified altitude of an airliner was Concorde’s 60,000 feet. We have lived under the umbrella of the saying, ‘the sky is the limit’ so long until it has limited us and has limited God’s ability to move in our lives. There are planets beyond the sky. We know this to be true because, on July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong became the first human to step on the moon. He and Aldrin walked around for three hours. If a man in all of his frailty was able to defy the limits, can’t God do the same for you?

Many of you have gotten so tired of the wait that it has caused you to settle. You are okay with going on one vacation a year even though you know God called you to travel the world. You still believe in God, but you believe for the possible– not the impossible. You have allowed the length of the struggle to steal your hope. You still have faith, but you have lost hope. Hope is a feeling of expectation and the desire for a certain thing to happen.

A rocket can move at least 25,000 mph that’s 7 miles per second. A rocket goes in one direction– UP! The promise that God gave the Israelites was out of this world; eyes had never seen, ears had never heard. That’s why they were afraid, and thought that they would be unable to possess the land because what God had promised them was beyond their wildest dreams. What God is getting ready to do in your life is out of this world and a plane can’t get you there! You need a rocket for this one!

Before a rocket takes off there is a countdown. A countdown is a sequence of backward counting to indicate the time remaining before an event is scheduled to occur. The purpose of a countdown is to make sure all the engineers know exactly when liftoff should be, and how much time they have to make last-minute adjustments. Whatever God has instructed you to do, whatever relationships you need to cut off do it now because you are blasting off into a space you’ve never been.

We know that God takes the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. The Bible says that the last shall be first so here’s what I came to tell you, the count down is on!

10: You were in the wilderness and just like David no one even remembered you were there.

9: You thought it was your season but it turns out it wasn’t.

8: Everyone was having a new beginning except you.

7: There was no rest for the weary.

6: Your mind starts playing games with you, Satan tries to trick you.

5: God gave you a trickle of blessing but not enough to take you out of that old season.

4: You couldn’t find anyone to stand in agreement with you.

3: Where is the trinity? You called on God and silence.

2: Your circle is so small it’s only you and your reflection.

1: It’s done!!!!!

Take off!

This is your time and your season.
