For the love of RNB – I would run home after school just to watch 106 & Park on BET to see who would make the countdown and time and time again I would see Keyshia Cole either performing or dropping a new video. On Mother’s Day 2019 I got a front row seat to see her do it LIVE!
Mother’s from everywhere lined The Fillmore Miami Beach, FL excited to be apart of the very first Mother’s Day Extravaganza. The show began with the anointed voices of The Florida Fellowship Super Choir who reminded us all that God is to be praised and honored first. When we give God the first he will bless the rest and that’s indeed what he did.
Shirley Murdock took the stage and sang our all-time favorite ‘As We Lay’ and many others. Now I have seen many performances and I must say that she still gat it! Keyshia Cole blessed us with her voice and with her newly found love. The beautiful expectant mother graced the stage in a graphic tulle dress, hair laid and makeup beat to the gods. She delivered! Keyshia Cole sang all of our favorite songs, she danced, she shared her heart (how much she loves her man) and the crowd chanted for more.
South Florida was busy this Mother’s Day Weekend with Rolling Loud, a three-day hip-hop festival, The Millennium Tour among other events but the Mothers Day Extravaganza held its own and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us next year.
